code p0404 The fault code says P0404, EGR Control, Circuit Range Performance I checked the connections to the valve and cleared the fault, it has not

This code points to either carbon buildup or a bad EGR valve However that doesn't rule out the following: code p0404 This code tells us that the PCM detected the EGR valve is not responding to the commanded position within a given amount of time
